3. User Inputs & AI Processing

Your story configuration inputs (such as character name or traits) are securely transmitted to our AI API provider (e.g., OpenAI) for the sole purpose of generating story content. These inputs are not used to train models or for profiling. We do not store your story inputs long-term.

Character Images: If you upload character images (reference photos) during story creation, these images are used only temporarily to generate character descriptions and illustrations. We do not store, retain, or save these uploaded images on our servers. They are processed during story creation and then permanently deleted.

4. Analytics

We use the following analytics tools to understand how our platform is used and to improve the experience:

• Google Analytics – collects anonymized data about page visits, traffic sources, and general usage patterns. Google Analytics may use cookies. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool.
• PostHog – used for product analytics and session recording. Session recordings capture anonymized interactions (clicks, scrolls, navigation) to help us identify usability issues. PostHog is self-hosted on our infrastructure and data is processed in the EU. No personally identifiable information is intentionally captured in recordings.
• Umami – a privacy-focused, cookie-less analytics tool used to track custom events and general usage patterns. Umami does not use cookies or store personally identifiable information.
• Google Search Console – monitors how our site appears in Google Search. This provides aggregated search performance data and does not track individual users.

5. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party providers to deliver core platform features:

• OpenAI – to process story inputs and generate story content based on your configuration.
• Stripe – to securely process payments and handle billing details. We do not store your credit card information.

These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their tasks and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

We do not share your data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or behavioral tracking.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to secure the data we collect. While no system can be 100% secure, we strive to protect your information from unauthorized access or misuse.
